“Bitter Thing” out in Galaxies today!

I’m excited to have a story out in the French magazine Galaxies SF today, thanks to the talented Pierre-Alexandre Sicart, who translated my story “Bitter Thing” as “Par les yeux d’autrui.”

The editor’s introduction to the story:

Here’s my quick translation of Pierre Gévart’s introduction:

A crewmember of an alien spaceship catches the ultimate case of the blues when he decides to immerse himself in Earth’s blue tones–and in the eyes of an Earthling who needed a roommate. In this story, Natalka Roshak develops, with much finesse, an unusual relationship between two people as different as an alien and an Earthling could be. Her depiction of alien romance, set against a backdrop of good business and inevitable separation, may also give you a new way to think about art. Thanks to Pierre-Alexandre Sicart for introducing us to this excellent science-fiction author by choosing and translating this story, which I will now let you enjoy.
