I have a story coming out next week in a very interesting anthology, Working Futures: 14 speculative stories about the future of work.
There are a couple of really cool things about this anthology: (1) All the stories in it are CC licensed; and (2) it was created via an unusual process. The people behind the American tech blog TechDirt held a day-long event on what the future of work would look like. They generated a portfolio of possible scenarios, then held a call for submissions for stories loosely inspired by these scenarios. A story I’d been mulling for a while fit one of the scenarios pretty well, so I pitched it to the editor, Mike Masnick, and got terrific feedback. All in all, it was a fun project, and I’m excited for the release next week.
